Cancelling your free week

Use Cancel my free week on your results page at any time before day 8. Nothing is charged, membership does not start, and your grant list stays there for you.

Cancelling your membership

Cancel on the Membership tab of your member area. The page shows you what will happen before you confirm.

• Your membership stays open until the end of the month or year you have already paid for, then ends. The fee already paid is not refunded.
• Unused credits added in the last 30 days are refunded to your card at 50 cents each, the day you cancel.
• Your other credits end the day you cancel.
• Applications already started are finished as agreed.

You can join again at any time.

Pausing instead

You can pause your membership for up to 30 days on the Membership tab. While it is paused, nothing is charged and no credits are added; your credits and your list stay as they are, applications already started carry on, and new ones wait. Membership starts again by itself after the pause, or sooner with Resume now.

Applications

An application is paid when you confirm it, and that payment is not refunded. If an application is set aside because we did not hear from you in time, the payment stays with it for twelve months: we pick it up for the same funder's next deadline, or move it to another grant on your list. The details are in Terms, section 7.

Small credit balances

If your credits are worth $5 or less in total, we pay them out in cash when you ask.

A failed payment

If your card is declined, Stripe tries again over the following days and emails you. Update your card on the Membership tab and the payment is made at once. If every retry fails, your membership ends.
