Privacy

What we collect

• Your name, email address and phone number, and your organization's name.
• Your answers to our questions, and the documents and links you send us.
• Your organization's public record: its IRS filings and the figures on them, read from ProPublica's Nonprofit Explorer, and your organization's own website.
• Payment details, which Stripe holds. We see only the card brand and the last four digits.
• Your account email and a password, if you create an account. We store the password only in a form that cannot be read back.

How we use it

To find grants that fit your organization, to fill in your answers from your documents so you type less, to write and review applications with you, to keep your list current, and to reach you about your list, your applications and your membership.

Who handles it for us

• Vercel hosts the site and keeps your documents in private storage.
• Neon holds the database of your answers.
• Stripe handles card payments.
• Anthropic provides software we use to read your answers and documents and to prepare drafts. Under Anthropic's commercial terms, what we send is not used to train its models.
• Google hosts our email and serves the fonts on this site.
• OpenStreetMap turns an address you give us into a county, so we can match local funders.

Each of them uses your information only to provide that service to us.

Cookies and your browser

If you sign in, the site sets one cookie to keep you signed in. While you fill in our forms, your progress is saved in your own browser so you can come back to it; it is sent to us when you submit. We do not use analytics or advertising trackers.

How long we keep it

We keep your answers and documents while you are a client and for twelve months after you leave, so your profile is ready if you come back. After that we delete them. Payment records are kept as long as the law requires.

Your choices

You can ask to see what we hold about your organization, to correct it, or to delete it at any time. Write to info@skydata.one and we will do it, except for payment records the law requires us to keep.

Children

Grant Composer is a service for organizations and is not directed to children.

Changes

If we change this page in a way that matters, we email members before the change takes effect and post the new date at the top.
